I have (with the major help of Claude Code) completely rewritten this site for the static site generator Hugo, and moved hosting. These two changes are major, but completely under the hood. What you should notice is that the site is now much, much faster and hopefully shows up better in searches for sax info. I have added a “new gallery” as well, with images from the past several years.
This is a project I have been wanting to do for years, and have tried in the past but not gotten past some fairly high technical hurdles (for a non-technical person) that Claude Code was able to easily surmount. What would have taken me months, or a competent coder a week, took an afternoon. I am quite happy to put Wordpress in the rear view mirror, and have a site that runs quickly and cleanly that I can easily administer from my own computer. If you find anything that looks broken or seems to be missing, let me know.
I also have updated my contact page to state that I am booked for the foreseeable future! I am extremely lucky to have my previous clients keep me so busy. What this means is that my waitlist is closed- and looks to stay that way for a while- but when I have availability again, I will certainly post another update.
I apologize for the inconvenience. I will continue to make saxophone-related educational content and I am still learning as much as I can to become better at my craft and share what I learn with all of you. And of course, I am available for questions and help over the phone (and a bit over email, but I am bad at email) if I can be of service.
I also updated the index of my website to be current as of today, and there are now 285 articles and videos that I have created over the last 15 years listed there, and 1 Windows application.
I will also say that it seems like sax repair shops are getting busy in general, so its not just me. All of the people I know well enough to recommend are booked at least months out, usually more. Seems like we could use a few more repairers! If you have been curious well, maybe get started by clicking on this link.
Thanks for stopping by.
