When Did Conn Stop Making Rolled Tone Holes?

Short answer: 1947.

The 10M tenor

This is a Conn interoffice communication dated June 9, 1947, that states that the first 10M without rolled toneholes is number 325028. We don’t know if 325027 was a tenor, so we don’t know the last one with rolled toneholes, only the first one without. This was from a collection of papers belonging to Bob Ziems.

The 6M alto
#

For the alto, while we do not have a specific serial number (it is assumed it will be fairly close to the tenor serial), we do have- believe it or not- an actual Conn factory blueprint with a note.

Down in the change log at the bottom of the title block, in pencil:

April 25, 1947. Happy rolled tone holes deletion day to those who celebrate.
